1 / Do I need previous fungi experience?

No. Previous experience with fungi is not required. Whether this is your first experience or whether you have explored altered states before, we encourage you to come with curiosity and soften any expectations.

The retreat includes preparation before the journey, experienced facilitation throughout, and integration afterwards.

What supports your experience is a willingness to meet yourself honestly, listen to your body-mind and heart, and enter and stay in the process with attunement.

2 / Do I need dance experience?

Not at all.

5Rhythms is a free dance a non-technique but rather a guided framework. No steps to learn or movements to perform correctly. You are free to move authentically.

You can be an experienced dancer, someone who loves ecstatic dance, or someone who hasn't danced in years.

The simple invitation is to follow your body and let movement unfold from there.

3 / What happens during the journey?

The journey takes place within a carefully prepared and supported setting, with experienced facilitators and assistants present throughout.

Music, spaciousness, nature, and periods of silence create a container in which you can turn inward and explore your experience.

There is no prescribed outcome and no requirement to "do" anything. You will be guided toward surrendering to the experience while remaining connected to your body-mind and heart. Within your boundaries.

Before the retreat, you will receive preparation guidance.

4 / How physically demanding is 5Rhythms?

You modulate your own level of movement.

5Rhythms can be energetic and expressive, but it can also be slow, gentle, subtle, or still. There is no expectation to push beyond your physical limits and the permission as wild as you possibly can imagine.

And you are always encouraged that if if needed to rest, pause, sit, or modify your movement according to what your body needs.

5 / How should I prepare?

Preparation begins before you arrive.

We will provide information about the retreat, the fungi experience, physical and emotional considerations, and ways to approach the journey with intention and openness.

We encourage participants to arrive well-rested and to create enough space around the retreat to slow down before and after the experience.

Preparation is an important part of the work. It helps create the foundation for a safe, meaningful, and supported experience.
